Background information

Palo Alto has just released a report showing that more and more companies are paying ransoms after being hit by a ransomware attack.
The average amount paid out by affected companies has increased by 171 % in 2020, which equates to over $2 million per attack.
This is a sad development that only gives criminals more incentive to continue developing and distributing ransomware.

To avoid having to pay to get data back, it's important to prevent and be able to track attacks on your infrastructure.
