Microsoft Inspire

At Inspire, Microsoft launched Windows 365, a new category of Windows operating system: Cloud PC.

What is Microsoft Windows 365?

With a Cloud PC you have access to your Windows machine anywhere and from every device. You can connect from your home computer, work computer and tablet and access all your company resources. Your computer always starts up where you last left it, easy and convenient. Beyond the Microsoft 365 suite of tools, you can run your company's applications just like you do today.

Stream to any device

Pick up where you left off, whether you're using a Windows PC, a Mac or a tablet, and experience new possibilities for work and collaboration.

Performance

Because the computer lives in the cloud, almost unlimited compute power is available and can scale as your users need more capacity. The internet connection will typically be faster too, since Microsoft has access to large bandwidth.

Security

Windows 365 is built on Microsoft's Zero Trust model, which effectively adapts to the complexity of the modern IT environment where a perimeter isn't the limiting factor. You can use your Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Sentinel or other security tools, exactly as you do on your physical devices today. You can also protect access to your Cloud PC with multi-factor authentication and passwordless login.

Launch

Microsoft expected Windows 365 to be priced on 1 August 2021 and ready for launch on 2 August 2021.
