Understanding your goals
Always online with Microsoft 365
Powerful tools, built-in security and the right licence for the price — backed by certified partner support.
In short
Microsoft 365 is Microsoft's complete cloud platform for businesses, combining the Office applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook with Teams, Exchange email, OneDrive and SharePoint in a single per-user subscription.
Businesses choose between three Business licences: Basic (around DKK 56), Standard (around DKK 117) and Premium (around DKK 205 per user per month excl. VAT), while the Enterprise plans E3 and E5 cover organisations with more than 300 users or special compliance requirements. Business Premium also includes the security tools Microsoft Defender, Intune, Entra ID and Purview, protecting identities, devices and data in one package.
MI Support IT is a certified Microsoft Partner helping Danish SMEs with licensing advice, setup, migration and day-to-day operations of Microsoft 365 — many companies pay for more or bigger licences than they actually use, and a licence review typically frees up 15-30% of the cost.
A typical migration takes two to four weeks, with the actual cutover of email and files done over a weekend — no downtime during working hours.
The modern workplace
Powerful tools at your fingertips
Combining the familiar Office applications with strong collaboration tools, Microsoft 365 gives you one toolbox that ties your business together. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook work seamlessly with Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint, so documents, meetings and chat live in the same place — whether your people are at the office, at home or with a customer.
Everything is stored in the cloud, so a stolen laptop or a dead hard drive no longer means lost work. Files can be shared securely with colleagues and external partners with full control over who can view and edit what, and everyone always works in the latest version of the applications — no manual updates or new licence purchases every third year.

Security included
Strong security tools are part of the package
Microsoft 365 combines productivity apps with market-leading security. With Business Premium you get automatic protection against phishing, ransomware and malware, multi-factor authentication on every account and central management of company PCs and mobiles — capabilities that used to require three or four separate security products.
It is all managed centrally in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, where users, licences, policies and security settings are controlled in one place. Most SMEs have neither the time nor the need for a full-time Microsoft 365 administrator — so we take the role as your permanent admin and make sure onboarding, offboarding and permissions are always in order. See Microsoft's Admin Center documentation on Microsoft Learn.

Licences
Business Basic, Standard or Premium: which licence fits you?
The three Business plans cover the vast majority of Danish SMEs. The difference comes down to whether you need the desktop versions of the Office applications — and, above all, the security package, which only comes with Premium. Prices are guide list prices per user per month excl. VAT with annual commitment.
| Feature | Business Basic | Business Standard | Business Premium (recommended) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Guide price | approx. DKK 56/user/month | approx. DKK 117/user/month | approx. DKK 205/user/month |
| Office applications | Web and mobile versions only | Full desktop apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) | Full desktop apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) |
| Email, Teams and storage | 50 GB Exchange email, Teams, 1 TB OneDrive, SharePoint | 50 GB Exchange email, Teams incl. webinars, 1 TB OneDrive, SharePoint | 50 GB Exchange email, Teams incl. webinars, 1 TB OneDrive, SharePoint |
| Advanced security | Basic (MFA and standard spam filter) | Basic (MFA and standard spam filter) | Defender for Business, Entra ID P1, Purview data protection |
| Device management | No | No | Intune: central management of PCs and mobiles |
| Best for | Employees without a fixed PC workstation and very price-conscious setups | Smaller companies without special security or compliance requirements | SMEs with 10-300 users who take security and NIS2 seriously |
Our rule of thumb: Business Standard is the minimum for companies where people work in Office every day — and Business Premium is the right choice for most with 10 users or more, because the security package alone costs more than the price difference if bought separately. Licences can be mixed freely, so production staff can run Basic while the administration runs Premium.
The Business plans are capped at 300 users. If you grow past that — or have special requirements for compliance, log retention or telephony — the Enterprise plans E3 and E5 are the next step. The difference between Business and Enterprise is not just user count: the E plans add extended logging, legal hold (eDiscovery) and 100 GB mailboxes, among other things. We advise on when the jump makes sense.
Pricing
What does Microsoft 365 cost?
Guide list prices per user per month (excl. VAT, annual commitment): Business Basic approx. DKK 56, Business Standard approx. DKK 117 and Business Premium approx. DKK 205. The Enterprise plan E3 sits at approx. DKK 336, and Copilot for Microsoft 365 costs approx. DKK 283 extra per user. Prices follow Microsoft's list prices at any given time and are typically adjusted once a year.
The real Microsoft 365 cost is rarely decided by the list price, though, but by the licence mix. In the licence reviews we run, we almost always find licences for departed employees, duplicates and users on a bigger plan than they use — typically 15-30% of the licence cost in total. As a certified Microsoft Partner we manage the licences on an ongoing basis, so you only pay for what you actually use — scaling up and down month to month as people join and leave.
The security package
The security in the package: Defender, Intune, Entra ID and Purview
Business Premium bundles four security tools that together cover devices, identities and data — and which we configure and monitor for our customers:
Microsoft Defender for Business detects and stops ransomware, phishing and malware across email and devices — automatically, around the clock. Suspicious files are isolated before they spread across the network. Read more about Microsoft Defender.
Microsoft Intune manages all company PCs and mobiles centrally: encryption requirements, updates and apps are rolled out automatically, and a lost device can be remote-wiped in a few clicks. Read more about Microsoft Intune.
Microsoft Entra ID is the identity and access management behind it all: multi-factor authentication, single sign-on and conditional access rules that, for example, block logins from unknown countries. Read more about Microsoft Entra ID.
Microsoft Purview classifies and protects sensitive data, so personal data and business-critical documents don't leave the company by mistake — a big help for your GDPR documentation. Read more about Microsoft Purview.
Important: Microsoft 365 is not a backup. Microsoft runs the platform, but responsibility for your data is your own — deleted emails and files can typically only be restored for 30-93 days. See our backup solutions for Microsoft 365.
Migration
Migrating to Microsoft 365: how it works
A migration to Microsoft 365 typically takes two to four weeks from decision to go-live — and we schedule the actual cutover of email and files over a weekend, so nobody loses a working day. The process is the same whether you come from an on-premises server, Google Workspace or another Microsoft partner:
1. Analysis and licence selection
We map your current email, files, users and integrations and find the cheapest licence mix that covers the need.
2. Plan and timeline
You get a concrete migration plan with dates, responsibilities and clear communication to employees about what happens when.
3. Tenant and security setup
We create and harden your Microsoft 365 environment: MFA, Defender, Intune policies and access rules are in place before the first user moves in.
4. Migration of email and data
Email, calendars and files are synchronised in the background and cut over during a weekend — Monday morning everyone just logs in as usual.
5. Go-live, training and support
We stand by with extended support the first days, train employees in Teams and OneDrive and follow up to make sure everything works.
AI in your workday
Copilot: AI in your Microsoft 365
Copilot is Microsoft's AI assistant, built directly into Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams: it drafts documents, summarises long email threads, analyses spreadsheets and writes up your meeting notes. Copilot requires a Microsoft 365 licence underneath and costs approx. DKK 283 per user per month on top.
But Copilot sees everything the user has access to — which is why cleaning up permissions and data structure is the most important step before you roll it out. We help with both the preparation and the rollout. What is Copilot? See the glossary entry.
