Microsoft 365 is not a backup
Microsoft protects the platform — you protect your data
Many assume their Microsoft 365 data is automatically protected. It isn't. Microsoft guarantees the platform's uptime — not that your data can be recovered if it gets deleted, encrypted or lost.
Deletions, ransomware, compromised accounts and offboarded employees can mean data is gone for good once the retention period expires — typically after 30-90 days.
Concretely: email, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams chats and Entra ID configuration are lost irreversibly without an independent third-party backup.

SaaS backup with Keepit
Dedicated cloud backup for Microsoft 365 and Entra ID
We use Keepit as our primary SaaS backup platform. Keepit is a dedicated, Danish cloud backup covering Microsoft 365 (Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, Groups), Entra ID, Dynamics 365, Salesforce and more.
The backup is immutable and geo-redundant — and completely independent of Microsoft's cloud. That means ransomware spreading via OneDrive sync can't reach your backup.
Granular restore is fast: a single email, a single file or an entire mailbox can be recovered in minutes — not days.
Server and hybrid backup with Veeam
Industry standard for VM, server and file backup
For server and infrastructure workloads we use Veeam — the industry-leading platform for backing up virtual machines, physical servers and files both on-prem and in Azure/AWS.
Application-aware backup ensures that Active Directory, SQL, Exchange and file servers can be restored consistently — not just as raw disk images.
